Kecak Dance

Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple, South Bali.

Uluwatu Temple situated about 70m on the cliff overlooking the bay. From there watch the rough seas of the Indian ocean rush forward, hitting the rocks beneath the cliff, and in the background. We will proceed to enjoy the Traditional Kecak Dance, a dramatic performance lasting about 45 minutes, where 25-50 dancers chant “cak” and throw up their arms, depicting a battle from the Ramayana where monkeys help Prince Rama fight the evil King Ravana. The dance will be performed on an open stage on a cliff in Uluwatu Temple complex, and in the background, a beautiful sunset colors the sky orange as it slowly disappears away, replaced by the moon at night
